Ford Truck sales top that of any other vehicle ever sold. Ford also sells a significant number of sport utility vehicles. The low lease rates on Ford trucks has helped to flood the market for the past number of years. Now as the leases and warranties expire many of these vehicles will be serviced in the aftermarket shops. This course will begin by covering some general service information about Ford trucks. Some of the electrical system highlights will be taught. Intake Manifold Runner Control as well as Split Port Induction will be detailed. Ignition systems will be analyzed beginning with a review of EDIS with the remote mounted Ignition Control Module. The new Coil-on-Plug Ignition will be analyzed and displayed on a working model of a 5.4 engine. OBD II information will also be highlighted. Be prepared to work on the newer Ford trucks.
